Toddler, teenager found drowned in separate cases.

BEIRUT: A toddler was found drowned Wednesday in the Bek Valley, while Civil Defense personnel found the body of a Syrian teenager who had also drowned.

A Civil Defense team recovered the body of 2-year-old Ali Jfar, who drowned in the Fayda River in Zahle, the National News Agency reported. The toddler's body was later transported to the Lebanese French Hospital.

Also, Civil Defense divers recovered the body of a 14-year-old Syrian national, Said Walid Kardello, on the coast off Zouk Mikail, about 3 kilometers from the Nahr al-Kalb River.

The young teen had drowned over the weekend while swimming in the river. Police said the teen was in the company of two friends, both Syrian nationals, before he drowned.
