Toddler's danger diet; CASE STUDY.

AT 18 months old, Courtney Boswell weighed the same as an average four-year-old after being raised on a diet of chips and cola.

The toddler tipped the scales at 2st 2lbs - half a stone more than most children her age.

Mum Angela said: "I've tried giving her healthy food but she won't eat it. She might have a banana sometimes, or yoghurt, but she won't touch vegetables. She picks them up and throws them.

"Most of all she loves chips. I ate a lot of chips in chocolate sauce when I was pregnant with her so maybe it comes from that."

Nutritionists warned that the youngster could suffer serious health problems unless she gets the right vitamins and minerals from fruit and vegetables.

But Angela, 33, from Manchester, added: "I think she'll be fine when she's older - I'm not worried."
