Toastmasters mark annual day in style...

KARNATAKA Club Toastmasters last week celebrated their annual day at Caesars Restaurant in Adliya.

The newly formed executive committee (2013-2014) comprising president Vijay Naik, vice-president, education Dr Veena Nagaraj, vice-president membership Sunil Mudanoor, vice- president public relations Roy Sebastian, treasurer Sudhir Shetty, secretary stika Shetty and Sergeant at Arms Robert Crasto were formally inducted during the programme.

Classical and cinematic dances, choreographed by Mrs Astika Shetty, were performed on the occasion.

The event was attended by area governor Rufus Pinto, division governor Ashok Kumar and Karnataka Social Club president H D Botelho. Mementos were presented to members of the outgoing committee of 2012-13 and trophies to winners of various competitions.

Dr Suresh Karunakaran was the keynote speaker and he spoke about family values.

He was honoured with a memento by Vidwan K Vishwanath Rai, director of Vishwakalaniketan Dance Institute from Karnataka.

The programme was compered by Joe Andrade and Sudhir Shetty.
