To Monsignor Foy.
Thank you very much for Birth Control." Is Canada out of step with Rome? It is a gem! I read it with great interest, and benefit, and I have asked our librarian here at the seminary to order two copies for our library. You write the truth with such clarity and power that the words seem to lift right off the page and take wing. The chapters on "Contraception and abortion" and "Homosexuality, marriage, and the truth" are especially pointed and forceful. To me, "Fifty reasons why the Winnipeg Statement should be recalled" is definitive, incontrovertible. Please God, the day will come, and soon, when that most unfortunate document will be officially repudiated. And when that happens, it will be the entire Church that will benefit.Monsignor, all of us are deeply in your debt for the valiant, persevering way you have been battling for the cause of truth over the years. I am sure at times you must have felt like "a voice crying in the wilderness." But those cries will not have been in vain. May God bless and sustain you in your good and noble work. Please, keep us here in your prayers.
