Title decided on walkover; FIVE-A-SIDE FOOTY GOALS LIVERPOOL SOUTH SPEKE.

THE final round of fixtures in the Monday Night League was set to be one of the greatest in Goals Liverpool South's history.

Excitement was in the air with the title race going down to the wire - but instead the night was an anti-climax as the championship was decided on a walkover. Dem Lads and Bangkok FC were both vying for the crown and with the Bangkok outfit not playing their game until 10pm, it was left to Dem Lads to take advantage early on.

Unfortunately for Bangkok, their hopes of clinching the title were cut short before a ball had even been kicked as Dem Lads were awarded a 5-0 walkover against their opposition.

The walkover decision left Dem Lads celebrating a league title victory and Bangkok disappointed at what is withoRut a doubt a cruel set of circumstances.

Despite their frustration, Bangkok played IAC Milan in their final match, and fought out a thrilling 10-7 win, finishing their league campaign on a high note.

In the Championship Division, Sticky Glass stayed unbeaten to clinch promotion and the title.

They won nine out of their 10 games, finishing the campaign in style by defeating Digger FC 20-11. In the same division, Shufflers ran out 13-8 winners over OSS to assure promotion back to the Premiership, whilst Doolan defeated MSG in a tight game which saw them grind out a 10-7 victory.

In League One, champions Netherley were hoping to finish the season with a victory against Huyton Hotspurs, and despite a nervy start, they came away with a 9-4 victory.

Defeat for Huyton Hotspurs means they will spend another season in League One.

SFX defeated Real SoSoBad 18-8 to cement second place and secure promotion. Peperooney Pizza finished the season in fourth as their final game of the season was quite possible one of the matches of the season.

They scored 21 goals to Murder on Zidane's Floor's 13 in what was a goal fest.
