Tips box Shoreacres capable of successful reappearance.

Lambourn Nick Deacon Shoreacres (1.35 Plumpton, nap) Was a very useful performer over hurdles last season and has taken well to fences at home. He's fit enough to do himself justice after a nine-month absence and connections are happy with the ground and course. Although he appears to face a stiff test for his first appearance in a chase, there are question marks over some of his opponents.

Westlin' Winds (1.05 Plumpton) Hails from a stable with a good record at this course and in very good form. Won nicely on his debut at Hereford and may just have the edge over the promising Peter Grimes.

Abbevillian (2.05 Plumpton) Very solid bumper form last season and good debut effort over hurdles behind Dave's Dream at Newbury. Put that experience to good use with comfortable win over a decent field on his comeback three weeks ago and is expected to follow up despite a 7lb penalty.

Newmarket Tony Elves Bubbly Bellini (2.50 Wolverhampton, nap) Kept on well in the closing stages when beating Ramara by a neck over course and distance three days ago. This looks a similar opportunity and Alan Bailey calls on the services of Lee Newnes to offset a 5lb penalty on the son of Mull Of Kintyre.

Others to follow Plumpton 1.35 El Dancer, 2.35 Celian. Wolverhampton 2.15 Out The Ring, 3.20 Little Carmela, 4.20 Bavarica, 5.50 Head First.

Topspeed Dave Edwards Abbevillian (2.05 Plumpton) Made no mistake on his seasonal return over this trip at Ludlow three weeks ago and Charles Egerton's promising five-year-old can add to his tally.

West Country Andrew King Aldertune (2.05 Plumpton, nap) Ran very well to chase home a progressive mare at Chepstow last time. With Ruby Walsh taking over in the saddle he can go one better.

Others to follow Plumpton 1.35 Mahonia, 2.35 Maori Legend, 3.10 Hobb's Dream, 3.40 Strategic Plan.

North Colin Russell Bright Sparky (3.50 Wolverhampton, nap) Winner over fences at Bangor in October. With the trip in his favour, and off his current good mark, he's fancied to go well for trainer Mick Easterby, who has his horses in fine form.

Others to follow Wolverhampton 2.15 Gower Sophia, 4.20 Desert Vision, 5.50 Fitzolini.

Racing Post Ratings Steve Mason Abbevillian (2.05 Plumpton, nap) Impressed when running out a decisive winner of a decent-looking Ludlow novice on his reappearance last month. This looks another fair contest, but he sets a decent standard.
