Tipiak's Macarons receive Gluten Free accreditation.

Tipiakhas received Gluten Free certification from the French Association of Gluten Intolerance for its range of exquisitely French macarons.

The Association Francaise Des Intolerants Au Gluten (AFDIAG)--the French equivalent to Coeliac UK--has recognised the Nantes based company's macarons as suitable for celiac sufferers. With 1 in 100 people diagnosed with the condition in the UK, operators can be safe in the knowledge that Tipiak's macarons can help take the stress out of catering for special diets. Operators are spoilt for choice with 16 gluten-free varieties to choose from including classic Lemon, Raspberry and Pistachio to modern flavour combinations in the Pop Macaron Collection such as Chocolate & Orange, Blackcurrant & Violet, Milk Chocolate & Passionfruit and Caramel with Sea Salt.

Tipiak's latest addition of premium gluten-free macarons--launched at the start of September --has also received the accreditation. Combining the company's authentic macarons with chocolate to create an irresistible sweet treat, there are six decadent flavours to select--Chocolate & Passionfruit, Chocolate & Raspberry, Chocolate & Coconut, Chocolate & Orange, Chocolate & Mint and Chocolate & Hazelnut.

Marie-Emmanuelle Chesse, International Development Project Manager, Tipiak says; "We are delighted to have all three of our Macaron collections officially recognised as gluten-free by AFDIAG. With gluten-free now accounting for 60% of the free-from category it is quickly becoming a priority for operators and caterers to be clear on the allergens contained in products they are serving. This is the reason why we wanted the accreditation, to provide our customers with peace of mind."

On Tipiak's website, operators will now see the no wheat logo against the macaron collections. Originally created by Coeliac UK, the logo is used throughout Europe making it easily identifiable for coeliac sufferers and those looking to avoid gluten. To make it easy for operators to identify certified gluten-free products, the AFDIAG annually publishes a directory list of officially endorsed items bearing the logo.

Marie-Emmanuelle continues; "Being part of the official directory makes it simple for operators to identify us as a trustworthy source when it comes to selecting premium gluten-free items to cater for special dietary requests. For sweet treats that will impress nothing looks more beautiful than French Patisserie! With Tipiak, caterers can feel confident to bring French flair to menus and wow customers, knowing at the same time that they have a significant dietary covered."

Established in 1978 with just a small team of volunteers, the AFDIAG now has over 6000 members. Supported by a medical committee and working in close collaboration with the Group of Study and Research on Coeliac Disease, the AFDIAG brings together leading French specialists and experts in the field of celiac research.
