Tiny steps set to tot up big total! CHARITY EVENT: City nursery dresses up and steps out for Barnado's.
THESE youngsters toddled their way around Coventry city centre to raise cash for a children's charity.
They were taking part in a massive national fundraising drive called the Big Toddle which is raising cash for Barnado's this month.
More than 50 youngsters at Grace Day Nursery in Whitefriars Lane, Coventry city centre took part.
They are aged between six months and four years and all managed to walk all the way around Greyfriars Green.
During the morning the children made duck hats, had their faces painted and sung songs before beginning their walk.
Nursery manager Minky Dehele said: "We wanted to do something special for our third birthday and raising money for disadvantaged children is very much in line with the nursery ethos.
"We support many charities and donate a minimum of 10 per cent of our profits to charities, so when we registered to do the toddle waddle we decided it would be perfect to do it on our birthday.
"The children had so much fun and managed to raise a huge amount of money."
Over 250,000 UK children toddled the equivalent distance of five times around the world last year, raising over pounds 1 million for Barnardo's work with vulnerable children.
