Time to walk off those crisps.

I'VE put weight on recently and I suspect my daily packet of crisps is to blame.

Crisps are spun as the healthy option these days with far less saturated fat than before and in the case of my favourites - Walkers Cheese & Onion - just 131 calories.

It may not sound much but that is the calorific equivalent of a full day's extra eating every 19 days - based on a 25g bag. I fear it's time to say goodbye to those crisps, and support the plea by Countryfile presenter and chief rambler Julia Bradbury for everyone to get fit in the fresh air.

Walkers: if you can't eat 'em, join 'em.
