Time to go glam; Clothes chain Oasis is heralding an optimistic fashion mood with its new sultry collection. LIZ LAMB brings you an exclusive preview.

It's official. Oasis is bringing sexy back.

The high street store's new spring/summer campaign features figure-hugging dresses and slinky shorts in sumptuous fabrics and 'look at me' brights.

The collection wants to celebrate a new, more modern femininity and the result is a stunning selection of garments that scream sophistication and glamour.

Key pieces with the wow factor include a beautiful one shoulder drape dress in red satin and the 'new suit', which is a boxy '80s silhouette incorporating an oversized tailored man's jacket worn with crop peg trousers.

A softer, more rounded mood redefines the season's silhouette and shape to create a minimal look for spring, while severe shapes are softened by modern fabrics.

An injection of '80s style is seen throughout the collection, with soft and sporty colour palettes featuring washed-out shades of taupe and grey marl, while black provides the essential base colour.

This is a contrast to eye-popping injections of electric blue, acid yellow and tomato red.

All-in-one dressing also makes a return with jump suits that are perfect as evening wear when teamed with heels and a glitzy bag or can be dressed down for day with sandals and sunglasses.

Drapes are used heavily throughout the collection, with shapes that wrap across the body in sculptural forms and fabrics that look almost liquid to the touch.

For those who like to turn heads when they walk into a room there's a bandeau drape dress in red. Or for a more subdued look the collection features a bubble hem drape dress in grey marl with a black belt.

Graphic prints punctuate the collection and pieces include an arthouse print shift dress that features splashes of purples, blues and sparkling white.

Embellishment is kept to a minimum but adds maximum impact to a simple silhouette, enveloping shrunken waistcoats or scattered-on vests.

Oasis's structured frock is an updated version of the bandage dress that dominated the fashion world last year and was seen on everyone from Cheryl Cole to Lindsay Lohan and Victoria Beckham. This figure-enhancing piece looks set to be a key look for the season.

Accessories are kept to a minimum with just a few statement pieces. Belts, in metal and snake, are skinny and clinch in the waist to give a feminine, hourglass silhouette. Footwear is ankle high, strapped and wrapped, for the ultimate in seduction. Whatever you choose, prepare to be transformed into a modern-day glamour puss.
