Time to end fuel misery; Comment.

THE increasingly pathetic fuel protest convoy will be turned away from Midland towns and cities today - and good riddance to them.

They no longer have public support and now is the time to end all this turmoil and misery.

Gordon Brown's mini-budget went far enough without jeopardising the economy just to appease a group of disgruntled farmers and truckers.

Mr Brown must strike a balance in the best interests not just of road users but of hospitals, schools and the environment.

So save yourself some fuel lads, and go home.
