Time share scams drive welcomed.

A BIRMINGHAM Euro MP has today welcomed new measures to protect consumers from the misery of time share scams.

Labour MEP Neena Gill believes the new regulations put in place by the European Union will help the thousands of Brits who sign up for time share deals every year.

She said: "For too long these scam merchants have promised dreamy days in the sun, and yet have only delivered misery to Midlanders."

"We have more timeshare owners in the UK than any other European country, and I am looking forward to reassuring my constituents that Europe is acting to protect them from scam traders."

She said the UK time share industry is worth about pounds 100 million per year and new regulations are a major step forward in eliminating unscrupulous traders. I welcome EU efforts to boost consumer confidence."
