Time on their hands; You Say

DO any readers of the ECHO notice all the letters I write to our local press? I'll be getting a letter soon from Zappa Albany, Kirkdale, referring to the amount of letters M. Dunford of Frodsham writes with all of his or her time on that person's free time, whereas poor Zappa Albany has such a busy schedule during the day.

Has Zappa Albany never heard of redundancy or retirement? So I say to you Zappa Albany, Kirkdale "belt up", if you have a cosy job, or a housewife or househusband or partner, thank your lucky stars.

Here's something else that I have been thinking about lately. Why do we not have another National Anthem to replace the present one? In my opinion it is old fashioned in this modern age. Why do we not have Jerusalem instead? It makes me feel really proud to be an Englishman (such stirring verses and melody).
