Time off for Laurels ace Billy.

Byline: Michael Fortune

KNOCKGLASS BILLY, Saturday's Red Mills Irish Laurels winner, will have a short break before he reappears and so is far from certain to contest the Gain Feeds Select Stakes at Waterford, writes Michael Fortune.

Trainer Graham Holland said yesterday: "He's in very good form after his race but has had a touch of a track leg for the last few weeks and I'd like to give him a little bit of rest now. There is a possibility he may go to Waterford but I haven't spoken with Martin [Murphy, owner] yet and to be honest I'm not in a hurry to run him.

"I'd like to get him looked over thoroughly and to have two or three weeks off and then maybe give him a race around Shelbourne in readiness for the Night of Stars 525."
