Tilt-Up Concrete Awards: call for entries.
The Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) is accepting through June 1 entries in the 26th installment of the Tilt-Up Achievement Awards. The awards will be presented during the 2016 Tilt-Up Convention and Expo, October 9-12 in Denver. Established by TCA in 1992, the program honors projects that use site-cast tilt-up concrete to introduce new building types, advance industry technology and provide unique solutions. Winning entries illustrate the variety, aesthetic potential and flexibility of the tilt-up construction method.
"Within the past several years, inspiring design creativity and amazing feats of construction have pushed the boundaries of this industry," says TCA Executive Director Mitch Bloomquist. "Today's standards expand beyond yesterday's possibilities and we've reached an entire new level of expectations for this year's Tilt-Up Achievement Awards."
A panel of tilt-up professionals representing the fields of architecture, development, education, engineering and construction evaluate each project's aesthetic appeal, architectural ingenuity and creativity in engineering and construction. To qualify for consideration, a member of the team that maintains a current TCA membership must submit projects. All TCA members affiliated with the project will receive recognition. Program guidelines and criteria, along with entry submission details, are posted at www.tilt-up.org/awards.
