Tightrope star plans stunt for Scotland.

THE man who walked a wire between the New York's Twin Towers yesterday revealed his dream of stringing a tightrope across the Forth Bridge.

Philippe Petit brought the Big Apple to a standstill with his spine-chilling stunt - 1350ft above the ground - at the World Trade Center in 1974.

His amazing story is recreated in new movie Man On Wire.

Now, the 69-year-old Frenchman wants to perform in Scotland.

Petit says he'd love to walk a tightrope at Edinburgh Castle or the Forth Bridge "humps".

He said: "It is my desire to come to Scotland and do a beautiful walk in the sky."
