Finnish-Swedish IT company TietoEnator Corporation said today (4 June) that it had signed an agreement with the Finnish road administration Finnra regarding the specification and design of the agency's information service system and consultation on the information architecture.

Finnra's information service would create electronic services that would be independent of basic systems and would support the efficient use of information resources by offering up-to-date information on topics such as the road network and traffic conditions, according to the company.

TietoEnator said that it would also be in charge of the specification, design and implementation of Digiroad, a basic register which would offer information on the Finnish road and street network in electronic format.
