Thunderbirds are go for pounds 2m, Liz.

LIZ HURLEY has been offered pounds 2million to star as Lady Penelope in a film version of the puppet TV series Thunderbirds.

Liz, 34, is said by producers to be "absolutely perfect" to play the upper-class heroine.

The star, who has revealed she is desperate to start a family, is currently considering the big-money role.

Last night, she was in Hollywood for the premiere of her latest film, EDtv, about a shop assistant who allows TV to film his life.

Her next big project is the release of her boyfriend Hugh Grant's gangster comedy, Mickey Blue Eyes, which she produced.

In the past, Liz has been criticised for her wooden acting. But at least she shouldn't face too much competition from the original Thunderbird puppets.
