Thumb-sized show for tots.

TRADITIONAL pantos and noisy Christmas shows can be intimidating for the very young. But a fairy tale with old-fashioned glove and rod puppets offers a festive treat suitable for all the family.

Thumbelina by Norwich Puppet Theatre promises a delightful live production for children aged two to seven and tells the tale of a girl so small she could float on a lily pad and ride on the back of a dragonfly.

The theatre company is one of only three like it in the country.

Performed by Joy Hayes, the show is coming to the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield on Saturday, January 16, at 11am and 2pm.

Amazed toddlers and youngsters will see Thumbelina encounter a frog, mouse, mole and swallow in the production, which is based on the Hans Christian Andersen tale.
