Throwing disabled on work scrapheap; LETTERS.

HOW much lower can this Tory/LibDem government sink? The closure of the Remploy factories belies belief.

These places are a life line for the disabled: as one young man when interviewed said, "All my friends are here and I enjoy what I do."

Where are the disabled going to work now? There is no work for the able bodied, never mind them. Unemployment is rising, homelessness has risen by 14% in the last year and with the back door privatisation of the NHS people who can pay for medical treatment will jump the queue.

This government is slowly but surely fragmenting society by setting one section of society against another by classing people on benefits as work-shy regardless of their disability.

Is this government trying to turn back the clock to before the World War II when everyone knew their place where the rich were rich and the poor were poor and never the twain shall meet ? Anne Henry Mynyddisa, Mold
