Three things Syrian rebels say happened after their Southern Front takeover - VIDEO.
Rebels in Syria's sothern city of Daraa reported the capture of Brigade 52 from the Syrian army on Tuesday. Located on the outskirts of Daraa provinces' largest city Harak, the base's overtake would the latest in a string of successes for rebels on the Southern Front.
The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights told the BBC the rebels launched on Tuesday a dawn offensive on the brigade and pushed into clashes with pro-government forces through the morning and ended in casualties on both sides -- 20 Syrian army and pro-government personnel, and 14 rebels.
Syria's state news agency Sana, meanwhile, has yet to comment.
Now, rebel brigades are taking to social media with footage of the area -- and the spoils -- they say came after the reported retreat of government forces. Have a look at a few videos below.
Here, rebels claim to be shooting off Russian made Katyusha rockets, called Katyusha MRLS's in the field, and shoot off explosives to a more targeted area than traditional rockets.
And here, where the rebels overview the "spoils" they acuired during a takeover. According to the BBC, some 2,000 rebels participated in a dawn offensive on the base.
