Three million could watch Conor return.

Byline: MARTIN DOMIN

CONOR McGregor's return to the UFC could smash the three million pay-per-view barrier, it has been claimed.

The Notorious will enter the Octagon for the first time in two years when he takes on Khabib Nurmagomedov on October 6. And UFC president Dana White has high expectations for the Las Vegas showdown.

He said: "I am confident it will do two million on pay-per-view."

He then refused to rule out the fight attracting three million buys in the United States.

The UFC do not release pay-per-view figures but the record is believed to be 1.6 million for McGregor's rematch with Nate Diaz in 2016.
