Three large-scale projects approved.

TUNIS (TAP) - The higher large-scale projects commission approved on Thursday, during a meeting chaired by caretaker Prime Minister Ali Lrayedh in Kasbah, three large-scale investment projects.

The first projects concerns the spa town in El Khabayet in Gabes, to be achieved by Austrian and Tunisian investors with an amount worth 750 million Tunisian dinars (MTD) and a job capacity of 3,200 posts.

According to the commission, the content of the memorandum of understanding to be signed between Tunisia and the investors so as to set the two sides' commitments will be looked at with the participation of concerned bodies.

The second project is related to the intermediate storage of aircrafts in the Tozeur-Nafta airport for a budget of 65 MTD. The commission agreed for the start of the procedures related to the tender of a concession concerning the project.

The third project concerns the integrated knowledge and business city in Ariana to be achieved by a foreign company over 250 hectares with a cost of about 2,000 MTD.

The Ministry of Development and International Co-operation was entrusted with preparing the memorandum of understanding in optimum conditions and time in co-ordination with the concerned Ministries.
