Three charged over city raids; COURTS.

THREE men have been charged in connection with an investigation into a spate of burglaries in Birmingham.

John McNeil, 27, of Pear Tree Road, Shard End, has been charged with burglary, theft and receiving stolen goods.

Ronald Reeves, 37, and Robert Bennett, 61, both of Chestnut Close, Acocks Green, have been charged with two counts of fraud by false representation and one count of theft.

All three are set to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court this morning.

A fourth man, aged 31 from the Northfield area, has been released on police bail.

Police said the four men were arrested as a result of officers investigating a spate of alleged attempted bogus callers in the Moseley, Hall Green, Tyesley and Kings Heath areas.
