Three arrests after care home incident; BRIEFLY.

THREE people have been arrested following an incident at a care home in South Wales, police have confirmed.

Two men, aged 27 and 72, and a 42-year-old woman, all from Rhondda, were yesterday arrested on suspicion of the willful neglect of a vulnerable adult and perverting the course of justice.

The incident is alleged to have occurred in March this year at the Zoar Residential Home in Tonypandy and is believed to have involved an 88-year-old woman.

The privately-run home is registered to provide care for up to 30 people over the age of 65, including those with dementia. South Wales Police have confirmed they are treating the incident as isolated.

A spokesman for Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales, which regulates the home, said: "We are working closely with the police investigation."
