The three suspects were nabbed by police in the Shrigonda tehsil (administrative division), which borders Akole tehsil, in Ahmednagar district, where the crime took place.

The Temghare family, which suffered shocking abuse at the hands of the bandits before being robbed in the early hours of Saturday, identified a golden bead recovered from the three suspects. The golden bead was among the ornaments that were stolen from the Temghire household.
The bandits, all aged between 25 and 40 years, allegedly raped two married women, both sisters, and forced five elderly women to strip after brandishing knives and sticks at them.
They fled with 45-50 grams of golden ornaments and Rs10,000 (Dh811) cash.
The incident sent shock waves through Maharashtra, prompting state police to launch a manhunt for the bandits. With three bandits now in custody, investigators are looking for the five remaining suspects behind the Veergaon incident.
"A special team of police officials from Mumbai rushed to Ahmednagar district [yesterday] to assist the local police in their investigations," Ajit Pharasnis, Maharashtra's Director-General of Police, said.
