Three arrested after burglaries.

NEWCASTLE: THREE people have been arrested after two separate burglaries in Newcastle.

Between 5pm on Thursday, March 21, and 12.30am on Friday, March 22, a burglary took place in Kenton Lane where property including a laptop, games console, camera and jewellery were stolen.

A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and has been bailed pending further inquiries.

Then at 8pm on Saturday, March 23, a burglary took place at Cornhill in East Denton where three mobile phones worth hundreds of pounds were stolen.

Steven George Shotton, 44, of Hareydene in Newbiggin Hall, and Grant James Turnbull, 54, of Deerbush in West Denton, have been charged with burglary.
