Three are charged over riot murders.

A 23-YEAR-OLD man was last night charged with the murder of three men who were hit by a car while protecting shops from looters.

Haroon Jahan, 21, and brothers Shazad Ali, 30, and Abdul Musavir, 31, were killed when they were struck by a car in the early hours of Wednesday. They were all pronounced dead in hospital.

Adam King, 23, from Kings Norton, Bir mingham, was charged with three counts of murder and was appearing at Bir mingham magistrates' court today.

KILLED: Haroon He was the third person charged in connection with the deaths after Joshua Donald, 26, from Kelsall Croft, Ladywood, and a 17-year-old male were charged on Saturday.

Mr Jahan, Mr Ali and Mr Musavir were all killed trying to protect shops in their community of Winson Green from being attacked and looted on Tuesday evening and into the early hours of Wednesday.

Yesterday Donald and the 17-year-old male appeared at Birmingham magistrates' court.

They were remanded in custody to appear at the crown court today.

. A 33-yearold man was yesterday charged with starting a fire which destroyed Reeves Furniture Store, in Croydon, on Monday.

Jahan Gordon Thompson, 33, of Waddon Road, Croydon, was charged with arson with intent to endanger life and arson at the furniture store, and two counts of burglary and one count of violent disorder in Croydon.

He was remanded in custody to appear at court today.
