Threat to expel holy row pupil.

Byline: By MIRROR REPORTER

A PUPIL suspended for wearing religious images has been threatened with expulsion, it emerged yesterday.

Catrina McDermott was told to leave St Eugene's College in Roslea, Co Fermanagh, when she refused to conceal the badges.

Her mum Ann said the emblems - of St Patrick and a guardian angel - gave her strength in the face of alleged bullying.

She added: "I don't see what harm this is doing."

The stand-off followed a school ban on all badges.

Headmaster Martin Knox insisted the rule was not intended to infringe on religious conscience and has offered the 15-year-old a compromise of wearing them out of view
