Thomson Media to start Business Intelligence magazine.

The Technology Group of Thomson Media (New York), now a division of Investcorp International (New York), will begin the publication of Business Intelligence Review magazine with an issue in April. The new quarterly title will have an initial controlled circulation of 118,000 corporate and management executives whose names were culled from existing Thomson Media titles, including Bank Technology News, U.S. Banker, Health Data Management, Insurance Networking News and DM Review. The combined unduplicated circulation for BI Review and DM Review will be 163,000.

Thomson said the new title will be the "single source of information for business decision makers engaged in business intelligence." Editorial will focus on providing "actionable" information on the strategic use of technology to make organizations more effective and responsive. Content will include information on improving purchasing decisions, management strategies and product performance, as well as outsourcing, ROI, data warehousing, data mining, CRM, knowledge management, and web and text mining.

Besides BI Review, DM Review, Health Data Management, Insurance Networking News and Traders Magazine, Thomson Media's Technology Group also produces Clearing Quarterly & Directory and Securities Industry News.
