This week we're talking [...].
This week we're talking what to wear for the year's biggest date night. When it comes to ramping up the Valentine's Day glam, my favourite fallback outfit is a black Vivienne Westwood corset dress, gorgeously grown-up and just the right side of sexy (keep it chic and never cheap!).
It makes me feel good every time I wear it. This year I'm teaming it with my Kurt Geiger red suede Elliot heels and my secret confidence weapon: red lipstick.
Of course I've had my share of date-dress disasters in the past (mentioning no names!).
Once I came a cropper in front of the man I wanted to impress and the entire restaurant when a stiletto heel snapped clean off my shoe. Then there was the time I donned a bodycon LBD, which was so darn tight I had to cross my legs at dinner. When I stood up to leave, it finally gave way, ripping to reveal non-matching underwear (the shame!).
Lessons learned: be comfy when dressing for a date (it shows) and always wear matching undies - it's not about him, it's about how it makes you feel.
On that subject, you can feel pin-up glamorous on your date with Dita Von Teese's new Von Follies range of vintage-inspired lingerie at Debenhams (pictured). Those bustiers and garters are guaranteed to spice things up (from debenhams.com).
If you want to impress a new man, ultra-feminine lace works like a charm. I love Topshop's blue lace dress and Warehouse's lace skater dress in midnight blue. Both look daring with a metallic shoe - try silver kitten-heel slingbacks from Dune.
Or keep it prim and proper and let his imagination do the work in Primark's super-cute prom dress with cut-out sweetheart back and wear with nude ankle strap heels for elongated sexy legs - Bershka's pair of Perspex heels will do the trick.
For dinner a deux, wow your long-term love with killer curves in a form-fitting Herve Leger bandage dress that won't require taking out a mortgage if you hire it from designer online store wishwantwear.com. It costs about the same as buying its high-street equivalent, but it's a case of once worn, never forgotten.
If your V Day is a 'date night' with the girls, dazzle in shimmering leather - I'm loving Oasis's metallic blue pencil skirt, which looks fab teamed with sexy gold heels and a black lace top - check out ASOS's Rare lace top (asos.com).
Or why not be the one wearing the trousers and embrace the tuxedo trend in a sharp pant suit in black or stand-out white? Go monochrome in Mango's tux jacket (shop.mango.com, pictured), alluring with a sheer top, skinny pants and sky-high heels.
Now all you have to do is take your pick of the potential Romeos!
tangerine dream You might think orange is a bit too bright for comfort, but citrus hues are set to be spring's biggest trend. Avoid using them head-to-toe, but one statement piece will add zest to an outfit. The ever-stylish Nicola Roberts shows us all how it's done.

o ruth, matlock derbyshire You won't find much in the shops at the moment - unless you can wait until you're at the airport - so visit Asos.com, which stocks a great selection of swimwear all year round, with many of their styles going up to a FF. If you're not sure they have what you need, you can head to Bravissimo.com. Its selection of underwired designs are certain to do the job. Enjoy the sun, you lucky thing!
