This just in: financial management-related professional certifications, licenses, and related expenses. (Professional Development).

In a memorandum dated August 12, the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller) announced that it has centrally budgeted funds to be used exclusively to pay for professional certifications, and has asked military departments and Defense agencies to submit their requirements for funding fiscal year 2003.

Professional certifications on the approved list include the following: Accredited Financial Manager, Certified Cash Manager, Certified Defense Financial Manager, Certified Financial Planner, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Government Audit Professional, Certified Government Financial Manager, Certified Financial Manager, Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Management Accountant, Certified Public Accountant, Certified Public Finance Officer, Certified Cost Examiner/Analyst, and Certified Cost Consultant.
