This is one tale that just never gets old.

Byline: DOUG MOODY

What: Peter Pan Where: Forum Theatre, Billingham When: Until Sunday TAKING the audience away past the second star to the right and straight on 'til morning, this PMA productions version of the pantomime Peter Pan makes everyone feel young again.

Based on the JM Barrie children's story, it takes the audience to Neverland to meet Peter Pan, the Lost Boys, Captain Hook and Tinkerbell, played by Catriona Mackenzie who is a great storyteller.

Jonathan Metcalf, as Hook, looked great in his lavish costume and played the part of the baddie well while showcasing his good singing voice.

Kirsty Maclaren, as Peter Pan, had the children mesmerised, flying through the air with the greatest of ease, flitting from one side of the stage to the other.

The show stealer though was Smee, Captain Hook's sidekick, played admirably by David Luke - and very well supported by Jake (Jack De'Winter ) and Smudge (Daniel Arbon).

He had the children and the adults in fits of laughter right through the performance.

There is also local input in the shape of the Karen Heritage Dance Academy from Stockton.

The story of the boy who never grows up is as popular as ever and this production really hits the spot for both children and adults.
