The holiday season is a time spent with friends, family and special treats. This year, why not share your good taste by hosting a cookie exchange? Guests is make and bring their own special cookies to trade--it's easy way to fill everyone's holiday table with a beautiful assortment. You might even want to consider turning your cookie exchange into a fund-raise by holding a bake sale and donating the proceeds to your favorite charity. Either way, cookie exchanges are a fun way to celebrate one of the most important aspects of the season--sharing.

Hosting a cookie exchange is deliciously easy!

1. Invite, your guests and have each one make several extra batches of their favorite butter cookie recipe along with enough 3-by-5 cards of their recipe for each guest.

2. Serve extra cookies with coffee and other refreshments. Get everybody in the holiday spirit with festive music.

3. At the part, have everyone trade batches to create a glorious assortment to take home.

4. Collect your guests' recipe cards and create a recipe card pack for each guest to take home. Tied up with ribbon, this will be the gift that keeps on giving year after years.
