Things they'd rather forget.

Champions League, you're having a laugh!

After upsetting all the odds by winning the Premiership title in 1995, Blackburn had high hopes for their first foray into European football's blue riband competition.

But their campaign proved a spectacular and embarrassing flop.

Rovers lost five of their six group games and Graeme Le Saux and David Batty even managed to have a punch-up just four minutes into the 3-0 hiding at Spartak Moscow.

Mike Newell made slight amends, scoring the fastest ever Champions League hat-trick with three goals in nine minutes as Rovers beat Rosenborg 4-1 in their final group game but it was too little, too late.
