Thieves pull plug on lights.

A MUM is furious after thieves crept into her front garden in the dark and stole the family's Christmas lights.

Tracey Chapman woke up yesterday to find the 3ft-tall Santa and snowman figures had been unplugged and taken from outside the house in Heather Road, Binley Woods.

She said: "I couldn't believe it. Is nothing sacred? It just goes against the spirit of Christmas if you can't put a few lights up outside your own house."

Mrs Chapman, who has a daughter and son aged 16 and 13, did have other lights and decorations in the garden but has now taken them down.

She said: "My children are a bit older, but imagine the disappointment of younger kids if they came home to find their Christmas decorations had been stolen."

The theft has been reported to police.
