Thieves dye terrier's coat.

THIEVES stole Cozzy the terrier and then dyed her coat to try and stop her owners from tracing her.

Retired airline pilot Robert Bolton, 66, and his family were devastated when their four-year-old Border terrier was stolen.

So they began a campaign to find her - hiring a detective and putting up posters - forcing the thieves to release Cozzy, now pregnant.

Mr Bolton, 66, from Maresfield, East Sussex, said: "Cozzy had been microchipped, so we know it's her.

"They got her pregnant in the hope of making more money."

Border terriers fetch pounds 300 on the black market and pups pounds 50.
