They're the prize guys; Win a Banana Splits video.

Rock superstar Michael Stipe of REM claims The Banana Splits were a bigger influence on his music than the Beatles.

Bingo, Drooper, Fleegle and Snorky were four furry animals who had their own beach buggies, their own band and their own TV series - a big hit back in the swinging 60s.

Now, First Independent have dusted down their daffiest adventures for a bumper two- and-a-half hour retail release.

It features that old favourite Bingo, a bongo-thumping gorilla who was always spaced out. Mind you, not as spaced out as Fleegle, the lisping basset hound.

And the show would not be complete without their deadly rivals, the Sour Grapes - a gang of girls who dance suggestively in wet-look boots.

I've got TEN copies of this mellow yellow mirth to give away in a free contest.

All you have to do is complete this line from The Banana Splits theme tune:

"One banana, two banana, three banana, ****".

Closing date is October 17 and entries should be sent to: Banana Splits Contest, PO Box 902, Glasgow G9 2DR.
