They're just like the real thing... Also playing: Stone Rosez.

FOUR Teessiders will be banging the drum for possibly the finest band of the "Madchester" scene.

Tribute band STONE ROSEZ (pictured) will be performing Ian Brown and Co's classics from the seminal self-titled debut record through to the groove and swagger of the Second Coming tunes at the Dickens Inn in Middlesbrough tonight.

Expect indie-pop tunes like She Bangs The Drums, Waterfall and I Am The Resurrection to weave effortlessly with the heavy blues of Love Spreads and Good Times.

Singer Paul Barney says: "The second album represents some of the Roses most under-rated work, it was one of the aims of the band to do this some real justice by making those tunes phat and movin, instead of the usual approach of treating them as set-fillers."

Exacting musicianship, replica instruments, well honed stage moves and a dedicated approach to copying their idols all combine to deliver a breathtaking show.

The show in the Gold Room, upstairs at the venue, will also feature the delightful DJ talents of GAVIN BONJI.
