Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc.

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., says its new viscometer line features three models, each of which is suited for a unique user requirement: the Thermo Scientific Haake Viscotester E ("the expert model"), for automatic flow curve measurements with full PC control; Viscotester D ("the distinct model"), for routine viscosity measurements with data transfer; and Viscotester C ("the convenient model"), for manual viscosity measurements.

The company says that the rotational viscometers are used for quick and reliable tests and comparative viscosity measurements according to recognized standards in quality control. They measure the resistance of a test substance against a preset speed. The resulting torque or resistance measures the viscosity of the fluid. "A broad range of accessories allows for comparative measurements of highly viscous samples such as creams, pastes and gels or for viscosity measurements of small volumes," the company says.
