Herbs have been used for thousands of years to help common ailments: try these out for size next time you're looking for some homeopathic care

n Cold sores: Hypericum (St John's Wort) has an antiviral action that soothes the cold sore virus

n Cystitis: Uva-ursi disinfects the bladder and helps to heal and Echinacea can clear infections and boost immunity
