Theme Park Review Rides the New Texas Giant! Opening at Six Flags Over Texas!

VALENCIA, Calif., April 22, 2011 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The New Texas Giant opens at Six Flags Over Texas on April 22nd, 2011 and Theme Park Review was there to get a sneak preview!

The "old" Texas Giant closed in 2009 and for the past two years the park has worked on re-engineering and re-designing the ride into something new, something high tech, and something AMAZING!

The New Texas Giant features a steep 79 degree first drop, over 4,500 feet of track, overbanked turns, and 14 moments of "airtime" while reaching speeds of 65MPH! Wow!, the worlds largest theme park and roller coaster fan website, gives The New Texas Giant TWO HUGE THUMBS UP!

Watch our brave riders, Robb Alvey and Jake Garbelotti take on this massive, insane new attraction which may change the world of "wooden" roller coasters forever in our YouTube Video:

The wooden track of Texas Giant was replaced with an all-new steel track technology which gives thrill seekers a much smoother ride than a traditional wooden coaster, but keeps in tact the insane airtime, twisty curves, and other elements that make wood coasters famous.
