Theatre backing knife campaign.

THE Birmingham Rep has thrown its support behind a national anti knife campaign run by the Black Country-based British Ironwork Centre.

The theatre's development officer, Rachel Cranny, visited the centre that has supplied tables, chairs, and tree seats for the forthcoming Mad Hatters Tea Party production.

Rachel was told about the Save a Life, Surrender Your Knife campaign and agreed for the theatre to support the initiative.

The theatre has also suggested creating a play and educational programme and the creation of a knife angel to reach out to the thousands of young people who pass through the doors every year.
