The votes don't lie so leave off Chris!
I AM bewildered at the level of hatred directed towards X Factor finalist Chris Maloney.
He wouldn't exactly be my cup of tea as a performer but surely you can't blame him if there are people out there voting to keep him in the competition.
Granted their support for the Liverpool lad has led to better singers being given the boot from the show but it's not Maloney's fault.
There have been many cruel jibes and comments against the 34-year-old on social networking sites which I believe are totally uncalled for and amount to nothing short of bullying. He has been mocked online with a fake debut album selling for [euro]1 and has being generally demonised for what - taking part in a talent competition? The way I see it he's just an ordinary bloke trying to better himself - does he deserve this type of abuse? I think not.
When he went for that first X Factor audition I'm sure he never dreamed that he was signing up to be vilified by people who don't even know him.
If people dislike him as a singer fair enough but there is just no need for the abuse.
It is over the top and goes against what competitions like this should be about.
Web abuse... Chris Maloney
