The prints of Josef Albers; a catalogue raisonne, 1915-1976, rev.ed.

Danilowitz, Brenda.

Hudson Hills Press

223 pages

This revision of Danilowitz's 1999 catalogue raisonne of the prints of Josef Albers follows the complete reorganization of The Josef and Anni Albers Foundation (where Danilowitz is chief curator) and resulting access to new materials and digitization of images. Presented in an oversized volume (9.25x12.25") and beautifully printed and bound, all of Albers' prints are displayed in color plates of the best quality. Preceding the catalog is a lengthy new essay on Albers's life and career by Danilowitz. Appendices contain the Albers' greeting cards, Josef Albers' designs for album covers, and other ephemera.
