The odds are in Boro's favour.

FURTHER to The Gazette Sport (03.05.16) "A draw will see us home!" and the picture letter showing Ayala's disallowed goal against Birmingham.

We will all be delighted if Boro can repeat their promotion feat of 1967 when they beat Oxford 4-1 over our promotion rivals Brighton at the Riverside on Saturday.

A big bonus on top of a three goal margin victory would be a Charlton draw with already promoted Burnley.

Then Boro would go up as champions.

Sport can be full surprises; just look at the Leicester foxes, winning the Premiership against all the odds.

What is slightly cruel about this season is that the top three have pulled away from the pack and the play-offs can be such a lottery. The odds are in Boro's favour and on this occasion 30,000-plus Boro fans will want to see the favourites win.
