The naked truth.
Clubber's bible Mixmag ran a spoof article about a venue in Nottingham which was promoting fictional nights called Naked, at which dancers were encouraged to let it all hang out.
While the producers of the tongue-in-cheek piece expected to raise a smile, they were not prepared for the huge response from clubbers eager to get an invite and DJs wanting to play at the event.
Even top names such as Brandon Block and John Kelly, offered to DJ at the Club Naked extravaganzas.
Synergy Bar promoter Roman said: 'We must have had 500 calls. The icing on the cake was when we got calls from DJs like Brandon Block, asking if they could come and DJ.'
Such has been the interest in the idea of a naked dance event that Roman and the owner of the Synergy Bar, Nick Howdle, are now considering organising such an evening.
Mr Howdle said: 'Clubbers who saw me out and about were collaring me, complaining that they hadn't been considered important enough to get an invitation.'
Roman added: 'We're now looking into having a Club Naked VIP rooms at our regular nights or maybe doing some club events at a nudist camp, or even maybe nude paintballing - the possibilities are endless.
FOOLED... top DJ the Blockster
