The marriage of a Sarah and Ivan Wintringham.
The couple were married on April 2, at St Nicholas' Church in Cramlington, and then went on to the Village Hotel, at North Tyneside Silverlink, for their reception and evening party.
Ivan, 36, and Sarah, 24, met in September 2002 through a work training course, and were engaged in June 2003.
Regional youth work development officer Ivan, originally from Middlesbrough, said: "I proposed to Sarah with red roses and champagne.
"She chose the ring and we decided to have a long engagement because we didn't want to rush things."
Behaviour support worker Sarah, from Cramlington, and Ivan were taken to Tynemouth Priory on the wedding day by photographer Eleanor Pringle for some special pictures.
Ivan said: "Although we had our pictures taken at the church, Eleanor thought it might be nice to get photos in a different setting. During the week leading up to the wedding the weather had been miserable but on the day it was like summer."
The newly-weds, from Norwich Way, Cramlington, spent one week in New York for their honeymoon.
Ivan said: "It was the first time both of us had been to New York and it was fantastic.
"It made London look quiet.
"We did all the usual sight-seeing such as the Statue of Liberty and Fifth Avenue.
"We also went to see a Broadway show and had a horse-drawn carriage ride through Central Park."
