The inaugural Art Fair Europe deemed a success.
HAMM, GERMANY -- Art Fair Europe, the first German trade fair for art, frames and accessories, was deemed a great success by exhibitors and attendees.
According to initial estimates, Fair Europe Ltd. attracted approximately 10 times as many trade visitors for the industry as compared to other big fairs in Germany. Visitors traveled from across the European Union to attend the fair. Products included art prints, frames, accessories and hand-painted originals at a variety of price points.
"Our aim was to shake the industry out of its lethargy, focus attention on the well-stocked art trade and show that our industry is more than just a background phenomenon," Art Fair Europe show representatives said at a press conference.
Exhibitors were pleased as well. "We were pleasantly surprised at the high visitor numbers," said Christoph Hubner, managing director of Aicham Larson-Juhl and GmbH. "We made twice as many contacts as anticipated. When I say contacts, I mean we took firm orders and also orders for samples. That's a lot! We will be there again at Art Fair Europe 2008."
Plans for the next Art Fair Europe are already in the works. For more information, visit www.fair-europe.de.
