The good doctor.

FORMER EDITOR IN CHIEF Jon Barrett interviewed Phil McGraw after we reported on some seemingly spurious advice from DrPhil.com, and Dr. Phil clarified his pro-LGBT positions at some length. The interview turned at least one reader into a new admirer--if not exactly a fan: "I don't care for McGraw's delivery, but I sure admire his feelings about sexual minorities, and I say bravo, Dr. Phil. I will never again post a comment about what a half-wit I thought you were." Others were less convinced, as enunciated by this reader: "I'm not sure we, the gays and lesbians, or anyone else for that matter, should care that much about what 'Dr. Phil' thinks... .He definitely should not be used as an expert to further our cause." And one other replied thusly: "Thank you for setting the record, well, straight."
